SOUNDTRACK Update
Tracking and mixing continues in earnest on SOUNDTRACK. Having located the master sequence project, I’ve also then found all the bits audio that go between songs… the connecting tissue if you will. PHEW! I was a little concerned that it all was gone, gone, gone.
So having backed that folder up and renaming it, I’ve put the first two ST songs into it to replace the old demos, and the album is really coming to life now. I’ve got all the tracks open in a single Cubase project where I can sweeten at will. A whole new creative avenue opens up when you take your finished tracks, line ‘em up, and then add instruments and editing to those tracks under the umbrella of the ‘Big Picture’.
In other news, Steinberg Canada has finally shipped Cubase 4 to me after 7 weeks of waiting. That would be 7 weeks after being told one week, then two more weeks, then nothing…. pretty awful. But more on that later.
